Last week I went to see Captain America – Civil War on the first possible day. I got to see it in IMAX 3D because I thought if I watch it in the cinema (and pay a lot of money) then there should be an added bonus to it other than just watching it on a bigger screen. The only downside was, that the 3D glasses started to hurt my nose mid movie but whatever. I am trying to be spoiler free here so I won’t go into much details apart from what you can figure out from the movie poster.
First of all I will out myself as #TeamCap and during the movie I did not regret my choice. It was really hard to watch Captain America and Iron Man not being on the same side but in some way I understood both choices.
I am huge on trying to not know anything spoiler-y before watching or reading something (sometimes probably even in a bit of an unhealthy way). So I have not seen one of the trailers beforehand which gave away that there is a new hero joining the avengers. This was really nice because when it happened in the movie, I was not prepaired and really surprised – and excited. I like this hero a lot and am looking forward to his upcoming appearances and movie(s).
At the end of the movie it was easy to figure out that there were a lot of Marvel fans in the cinema with me because nearly everyone stayed until the end of the credits :). True Marvel fans know, that they would miss something if they left early!
I really enjoyed Captain America – Civil War. It was fast paced, action packed and there was no moment in which I was bored. If you have not seen the movie yet, go do it!
This was also part of my Marvel Cinematic Universe Challenge.
Oh and before I forget: May the 4th be with you today!
