10 TV-Shows to watch on Halloween

You want to do a TV Marathon on Halloween? Here are 10 Halloween TV-Show suggestions for you:

  1. Doctor Who

Doctor Who is always a good option but especially fitting on halloween. The Doctor and his Companions often travel through time and space and need to dress up accordingly (“The girl in the fireplace” S2 Ep. 4). Sometimes they even meet ghosts (“Army of ghosts”, S2 Ep. 12) or something similar. Additionally some episodes are really creepy. If you don’t want to watch it in order or have seen everything already, you might want to skip to the creepy episodes. My suggestions (all of them from the reboot, not classic doctor who):

    – “The empty child” (Season 1, Episode 9)
This is from season, so there is not much to spoil anyway.

    – “Blink” (Season 3, Episode 10)
Works well as a stand alone or introduction episode too.

    – ” The Waters of Mars” (Season 4, Special Episode 3)
    Good standalone Episode too.

    – “The Angels take Manhatten” (Season 7, Episode 4)
This is a very spoilery episode, so I only suggest it if you have seen everything before that. You have been warned.

  2. Penny Dreadful

I have to admit, I only watched the first episode of this Show and then did not continue because it scared the crap out of me. So I assume it would be perfect for Halloween. It includes Vampires, Werewolves and other stuff like this.

  3. Supernatural

This is not an extremely scary show but it fits the theme of Halloween. As the title suggests it includes supernatural creatures.

  4. How to get away with murder

This Show is not about anything supernatural and not terribly creepy but dark and thrilling. The title already says most of it. The main premise is about a murder that happened and you need to watch the season to see the whole story slowly unfold.

  5. Dexter

Well, if you ever wanted to know what a serial killer does all day long – Dexter is the Show to find out!

  6. Stranger Things

I binged this show a few days ago on Netflix and it is really good! Great actors, awesome 80s music, right amount of creepy and not an insane amount of episodes.

  7. Orphan Black

Another Show I’ve only watched the first 2 or 3 episodes because it felt really intense. The Show starts with a girl that meets another girl that looks exactly like her at the train station – right before the other girl jumps in front of a train. On the spur of the moment she decided to take over those other girls life and soon finds out some worrying stuff about herself.

  8. Sleepy Hollow

You know the headless horseman? The 4 horsemen of the apocalypse? Yep, that’s what this show is all about. Including hilarious incidents with a guy who travelled through time finding out about today’s technology and way of living.

  9. Once upon a time

A woman suddenly finds herself in a village in which fairy tale characters live – but they don’t know it.

  10. The walking dead

If you are more of a zombie kind of person, this is the right fit for you.

Which of these TV-Shows have you seen already? Do you have suggestions of your own? Do you plan to watch TV-Shows on Halloween? Which ones?
